The French Enduro rider won thanks to her superior technique in the downhill parts of the 2020 E-MTB World Championship contested in Leogang (Austria).<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

A great victory by Melanie Pugin (BH Racing Enduro Team) on her BH AtomX bike, fitted with Galfer Bike brake parts. Despite not competing in her main category of Enduro, the French rider came out on top in the second XCO world championship for e-bikes in the history of the women\u2019s Elite category. In extremely wet and muddy conditions, Melanie Pugin fought off her more experienced rivals thanks to her superior bike control in the more technical downhill parts of the circuit, which enabled her to gain enough of an advantage to take the victory. This is Melanie Pugin\u2019s first world championship title after having a great 2020 season, featuring victories in the Enduro World Series, WES and E-EWS races.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We should also mention the 4th position achieved in the Descenso category by two women riders sponsored by Galfer Bike: Tracey Hannah (Polygon UR) in the women\u2019s Elite category and Aina Gonz\u00e1lez (IJ Racing) in the women\u2019s Junior category.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In the Cross-Country categories, Galfer Bike riders were unable to repeat their fine performances of the previous World Championship. The Dutch rider Milan Vader (KMC-Orbea) began by leading the men\u2019s Elite race, but couldn\u2019t keep up the pace and ended in 23rd place. The best result was for the French rider Victor Koretzky (KMC-Orbea), who ended with a 14th-place finish.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In the women\u2019s Under-23 category, the Belgian rider Emeline Detilleux (BH-Wallonie) finished in 7th, her best result of the year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The MTB 2020 international season continues, with the European XCO Championship and the DH World Cup to be contested next week.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n
