Myriam Nicole claimed victory in the Women\u2019s Downhill and Victor Koretzky in the Men\u2019s Cross-Country while Thibaut Dapr\u00e9la and Amaury Pierron each won a podium in the World Cup in Lenzerheide (Switzerland).<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The GALFER Bike riders put on a spectacular performance in the sixth round of the 2021 UCI MTB World Cup, which again included the two main disciplines \u2013 the Downhill and the Cross-Country. Both the weather and the track were race-perfect, allowing the riders to give 100%.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In the Downhill, recent World Champion Myriam Nicole (Commencal\/Muc-Off) demonstrated excellent form and took first place by several seconds in both the qualification and the final, showing clear superiority over her rivals. Myriam uses DBP21007I \u00f8223 x 2.0 mm experimental brake discs and GALFER Pro G1554T brake pads. This is her second victory of the season, consolidating her position as provisional leader of the UCI World Cup Women\u2019s Elite Downhill with only two rounds to go.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In the Men\u2019s Elite category there were fine performances from teammates Thibaut Dapr\u00e9la and Amaury Pierron (Commencal\/Muc-Off), with both of them making it to the final podium. Dapr\u00e9la finished third, while Pierron came in fourth, both less than a second behind the winner. Thibaut Dapr\u00e9la maintains his position as provisional leader of the World Cup, while Amaury Pierron achieved a great result despite his recent injury.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In the Junior Men\u2019s category, Canadian Tristan Lemire secured a solid 6th position.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In the Cross-Country race, French rider Victor Koretzky (KMC-Orbea) achieved a spectacular, hard-earned victory ahead of the current World Champion (Nino Schurter) and World Cup leader (Mathias Fl\u00fcckiger). Koretzky, who rides an Orbea Oiz OMX fitted with DB102W Disc Wave\u00ae brake discs (160 x 1.8 mm) and Advanced G1851 brake discs, held his own among the leading group throughout the race, before launching an attack on the final lap, leaving his rivals lagging behind. This is his second win of the season and of his career. Koretzky also managed to clinch a podium position in the Short-Track, which took place on Friday. The other GALFER Bike riders were unable to finish among the top ten, with David Valero (BH Tempo Caf\u00e9s) finishing 17th, Malene Degn, 21st (KMC-Orbea) and Milan Vader (KMC-Orbea), 22nd, among others.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The World Cup now heads to the United States where two Downhill races and the last Cross-Country race will take place. Snowshoe Mountain will host this key event for GALFER Bike riders from 14 to 19 September.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n
