Myriam Nicole and Thibaut Dapr\u00e9la finished second overall in the Downhill and Victor Koretzky finished second overall in the Cross-Country at the 2021 UCI MTB World Cup.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The final event of the 2021 Mountain Bike World Cup was held in Snowshoe (USA) with a Downhill double header in which the GALFER riders ran into some poor luck.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In the Downhill, Myriam Nicole and Thibaut Dapr\u00e9la, both from the Commencal Muc-Off team, arrived in Snowshoe as overall leaders in their respective categories. Myriam crashed in both races, only managing to finish 4th and 7th, and was overtaken by Valentina H\u00f6ll in the overall championship. Thibaut Dapr\u00e9la was also very unlucky as he crashed in the first race, while in the second race he suffered a serious accident in qualifying that prevented him from taking part in the race. Meanwhile, his teammate, Frenchman Amaury Pierron, was able to take part in both races, finishing a respectable 10th and 4th in the Elite Men’s Downhill. Pierron finished the season in sixth place overall. These results mean that the Commencal Muc-Off team took the UCI DH 2021 World Cup overall team classification.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In Cross-country, Victor Koretzky (KMC-Orbea) won Friday’s Short Track, the first of his career, but suffered two punctures in Sunday’s race and missed out on another podium finish. Nevertheless, Koretzky had enough points to finish as runner up in the 2021 UCI XCO World Cup. His team-mate Milan Vader had an excellent race to finish 7th on the day, and 9th overall. Finally, KMC-Orbea finished the year as the second best team of the season.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In the Elite women’s XCO category, Roc\u00edo del Alba (BH Templo Caf\u00e9s) took an impressive Top Ten finish.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The riders representing GALFER finished the UCI MTB 2021 season having experienced great success: 1 World Champion (Myriam Nicole), 6 race victories and 11 podiums across DH and XCO.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n
