Italy\u2019s Luca Braidot (Santa Cruz-FSA) took third place in XCC and XCO, while Colombian Sebastian Holguin (IJ Racing) took his first podium in DH Junior.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Snowshoe ski resort, at 1,500 metres above sea level, hosted a new round of the MTB World Cup under extreme conditions of water, mud and humidity that made participation very difficult for all the riders and put their brakes to the test. Despite these tough conditions, Galfer Bike representatives continued to stand out among the best.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In Cross Country, Luca Braidot continued to prove his great form, taking third place in both Friday’s Short Track and Sunday’s XCO race in the Elite Men\u2019s category. Luca used the 160 mm DB102WCL \u00abDisc Wave\u00ae\u00bb brake discs as well as the Advanced G1851 red brake pads, designed for all conditions, especially mud and water. Braidot thus consolidates his fifth place in the overall ranking, less than 200 points behind the leader, who was unable to score in this event. In the same category, a notable mention goes to the fourth position achieved by Sebastian Fini and the ninth position by Pierre de Froidmont in the Short Track, both with the KMC-Orbea team.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In the Under 23 Men\u2019s category, Frenchman Luca Martin (KMC-Orbea) just missed out on a podium spot, coming in at fourth place. Meanwhile, in the Under 23 Women\u2019s category, Portugal\u2019s Raquel Queir\u00f3s (MMR Factory) achieved her best result of the season with a well-deserved sixth position, while Sara Cortinovis (Santa Cruz-FSA) finished ninth.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In the Downhill discipline, we saw an outstanding performance by young rider Sebasti\u00e1n Holguin (IJ Racing), who achieved the first podium of his career with a third-place finish in DH Junior Men\u2019s at Snowshoe. In the same category, L\u00e9o Abella (Commencal Vee) came eighth.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In the Elite categories, the best result for a Galfer Bike rider was for Matteo Iniguez (Commencal Vee), who finished in 13th<\/sup> position.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
