Galfer Bike riders Sebastian Fini, Hans Becking, and Wout Aleman have achieved overall podiums in the Men’s Elite category at the Cape Epic 2024, the most demanding XCM race in the world.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Cape Epic 2024, a team race held in South Africa, will be remembered as one of the toughest and most demanding of all time due to its challenging course. With over 600 kilometers covered and more than 16,000 meters of elevation gain over 8 intense consecutive stages, riders have spent over 25 hours competing. Among them, three Galfer Bike riders have stood out, achieving multiple victories and podiums. Danish rider Sebastian Fini (Lapierre-Mavic), partnered with multiple XCO world champion Nino Schurter, secured second place on the final podium, winning 2 stages and reaching the Elite men’s podium 6 times. Fini used Galfer’s \u00abDisc Wave\u00ae\u00bb rotors along with Advanced G1851 brake pads on his Lapierre full-suspension bike.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

On the other hand, Buff\u00ae-Megamo team had a remarkable Cape Epic with both their pairs. Hans Becking and Wout Alleman finished third in the overall standings, also securing 2 stage victories and 5 podiums in the 8 stages contested. They even wore the leader’s jersey for two days. Their teammates, Jos\u00e9 Dias and Enrique Morcillo, finished in 7th place overall with an improving performance throughout. All of them relied on Megamo’s Disc Shark\u00ae brakes and Advanced G1851 brake pads for their braking needs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Finally, it’s worth noting Natalia Fischer’s 6th place finish (Scott Cala Bandida) in the Women’s Elite category, Sergio Mantec\u00f3n’s 11th place (Scott Cala Bandida), and the 13th place of Robero Bou and Miguel Mu\u00f1oz (Klimatiza Toteemi Caberty).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Unfortunate luck for the Cannondale ISB team pair formed by Txell Figueras and Monica Calder\u00f3n, due to the premature withdrawal of one of their members.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
