The Swiss rider from Santa Cruz Burgtec by Goodman<\/strong> takes the rainbow stripes in Val di Sole<\/strong> (Italy) with Disc Shark\u00ae<\/strong> rotors and Pro G1554T<\/strong> pads, the combination Galfer<\/strong> has developed for the thermal demands of top-level Downhill.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A historic result for Raoul Schneeberger<\/strong>, who at 18 years old becomes UCI Downhill World Champion in the Junior category. The Swiss rider set the fastest time in his category with a spectacular run down the Black Snake<\/strong> in Val di Sole<\/strong>, one of the toughest tracks on the World Cup circuit and, without doubt, one of the most punishing for the braking system: sustained gradient with long, back-to-back braking zones that push the rotor-and-pad package to its thermal limit run after run.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

<\/p>\n\n\n\n

That is precisely where Galfer<\/strong> equipment makes the difference. The Disc Shark\u00ae<\/strong> rotor optimises heat dissipation, a decisive factor on a descent of this kind, where accumulated temperature is the main cause of lever feel fading. More Galfer results in Downhill<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

His teammate, French rider Lisa Bouladou<\/strong>, took a notable sixth place in the Elite Women’s category with exactly the same braking set-up: Disc Shark\u00ae<\/strong> rotors and Pro G1554T<\/strong> pads.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Also worth highlighting is the well-earned 11th place of Galfer<\/strong> rider Luke Wayman<\/strong> (Continental-Atherton<\/strong>) in an extremely competitive Elite Men’s category. Wayman opted for the new Disc Shark\u00ae EVO<\/strong> rotors, the latest evolution of the range, together with Pro<\/strong> pads, on a dry weekend where heat management counts for even more than mud clearance.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In XCO, Austrian rider Katrin Embacher<\/strong> secured eighth place in the Women’s Under-23 final, while her KTM Factory Team<\/strong> teammates Mathis Guay<\/strong> and Giada Specia<\/strong> finished 14th and 15th respectively.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
