The first e-bike event of the 2020 season and a double win for the riders representing Galfer Bike. Both Jos\u00e9 Borges in the men\u2019s category and Melanie Pugin in the women\u2019s category won their Gravity (Enduro) events while using brake products from Galfer Bike especially designed for electric bikes.<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n

The WES is the first international competition for UCI-approved e-bikes since 2019 and includes races in two separate disciplines: Cross-Country and Gravity. In the Gravity events, participants must climb with their e-bikes and then descend the timed sections. This is where the riders for Galfer Bike demonstrated their full potential and took first place in both of the categories in which they competed. Jos\u00e9 Borges, from Portugal, won the men\u2019s race on his Bosch-powered KTM, while Melanie Pugin, from France, won the women\u2019s event on her BH Atom-X.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    In the Cross-Country events, Melanie Pugin also earned a podium finish (3rd) in the women\u2019s race, while her colleague, Alex Cure, finished 5th overall in the men\u2019s category. Adri\u00e0 Noguera (Megamo Factory Team) took home a respectable 6th place finish.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
