The Spanish rider with the Sherco Factory team finished second at Hixpania, the final event of the 2022 Hard Enduro season, leaving him as runner-up in the World Championship.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Mario Rom\u00e1n (Sherco Factory) gave everything he had at Hixpania in his attempt to conquer the 2022 world title, but ultimately came up short. His chief rival, Germany\u2019s Manuel Lettenbichler, won the Spanish event, making sure not to give Mario a chance. Rom\u00e1n was highly motivated at the final home event, setting off only four points short of the leader in the general standings, meaning that he needed to win and for Manuel not to come second. However, Manuel\u2019s consistency throughout the weekend turned out to be decisive and he took home the title.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Mario Rom\u00e1n finished second at Hixpania and ends the championship also in second place overall, seven points behind the champion, with one victory and six podiums during the Hard Enduro season. It has definitely been a remarkable season for the Spanish Sherco rider, who uses Galfer brake products: \u00f8270 mm floating grooved oversize front disc, \u00f8240 mm fixed solid rear disc and Racing G1396R sintered brake pads.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Mario\u2019s teammate, South Africa\u2019s Wade Young (Sherco Factory), achieved 6th<\/sup> position at Hixpania and finished 10th<\/sup> overall.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Also noteworthy is the fantastic podium position earned by Alfredo G\u00f3mez (AG Team) at Hixpania, who tasted victory at Friday\u2019s Super Encierro<\/em> and ended just behind the two contenders for the title. This is Alfredo\u2019s first podium of the 2022 season and he finishes the championship in a well-deserved 5th<\/sup> position. And finally, young Israeli rider Suff Sella (AG Team) won the Junior category and finished in 8th<\/sup> position overall at Hixpania. Sella closes the season second in the Junior standings, with one victory and three podiums.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
