The Spanish braking component specialist Galfer, world leader in the production of brake discs and pads for the two-wheel world, has developed the new \u00f8300 mm front \u00abDisc W\u00bb FLSX (Floating Extra Oversize) brake discs, which will be used at Dakar 2024 by Lorenzo Santolino and Rui Gon\u00e7alves of the Sherco TVS Racing team.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

<\/p>\n\n\n\n

These new discs join Galfer\u2019s range of brake products, which now includes the \u201cDisc W\u201d FLSX<\/strong> for rally raid motorcycles. Specifically, Galfer has designed and developed two new \u00f8300 mm<\/strong> floating front discs for KTM, Husqvarna, GasGas, Sherco and Yamaha rally raid <\/strong>motorcycle models. The RRP for these front discs is \u20ac149 + VAT.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

To complement the new front brake discs, Galfer is offering two sintered metal brake pad compounds, G1396<\/strong> (Sinter Standard) and G1396R<\/strong> (Sinter Racing), which sell for \u20ac26.50 and \u20ac39.50 per set, respectively.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

<\/p>\n\n\n\n

For the rear axle, Galfer offers a selection of fixed discs with different features for different conditions:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

– Disc W W<\/strong>: increased braking power with a lighter weight, with a RRP of \u20ac72 + VAT<\/p>\n\n\n\n

– Disc W solid WLL<\/strong>: specifically for extreme muddy conditions, with a RRP of \u20ac89 + VAT<\/p>\n\n\n\n

– Disc W grooved RW<\/strong>: greater braking power and versatility for all conditions (wet and dry), with a RRP of \u20ac129 + VAT<\/p>\n\n\n\n

– Disc Shark\u00ae HW<\/strong>: better cooling, ideal for dry conditions with high temperatures, with a RRP of \u20ac125 + VAT<\/p>\n\n\n\n

GALFER AND THE SHERCO TVS TEAM TOGETHER AT DAKAR 2024 <\/p>\n\n\n\n

In 2023, Galfer and the Sherco TVS Racing Factory team<\/strong> signed an agreement allowing their riders to use the Spanish brand\u2019s new brake products. In 2023, Lorenzo Santolino, Rui Gon\u00e7alves and Harith Noah<\/strong> used Galfer\u2019s brake products for their 450cc Sherco rally bikes in demanding races such as the Morocco Desert Challenge, the TransAnatolia and the Rally du Maroc. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The next and biggest challenge will be the Dakar Rally 2024<\/strong>, which will be held in Saudi Arabia from 5 to 19 January 2024, and where Galfer\u2019s brake components will play a crucial role in the world\u2019s toughest and most important race. The 46th edition of the Dakar Rally covers a route of 7,891 km \u2212including 4,727 km of timed specials\u2212 divided into 13 stages. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The team will consist of 11 people in total and their goal is to be inside the Top 5 in the stages and inside the Top 10 in the overall classification.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
