Galfer Wraps Up the 2026 DH Season with a Historic Victory, Six Junior Podiums and a World Champion

The 2026 UCI Downhill World Cup came to an end in Lake Placid (USA), delivering outstanding results for the riders competing with Galfer Bike braking systems. A season marked by victories, podium finishes and international titles that once again demonstrates the highest competitive level of the teams and athletes who trust our products.

The standout performer of the weekend was Lisa Bouladou (Santa Cruz Burgtec by Goodman), who secured the first Elite World Cup victory of her career. The French rider delivered a flawless run to claim victory at the final round of the championship, completing an impressive progression that had already become evident in recent weeks following her first-ever Elite World Cup podium in Whistler.

Meanwhile, Malik Boatwright (Continental Atherton) once again showcased exceptional consistency in the Men’s Junior category. The young New Zealander finished second in Lake Placid, earning his sixth World Cup podium of the 2026 season and securing second place in the overall UCI Downhill World Cup standings. A result that confirms Boatwright as one of the most promising young talents on the international downhill scene.

Among the weekend’s top performers was also Raoul Schneeberger (Santa Cruz Burgtec by Goodman), who finished in an impressive sixth place against some of the world’s best downhill specialists. The young Swiss rider capped off an outstanding season that saw him achieve one of the biggest milestones of his career just a few weeks ago, when he became the 2026 UCI Junior Downhill World Champion representing Switzerland in Val di Sole (Italy), earning the coveted rainbow jersey after winning the Men’s Junior race.

Lisa Bouladou, Malik Boatwright and Raoul Schneeberger all compete using Disc Shark®, Galfer Bike’s innovative two-piece brake rotors designed to deliver maximum braking power, thermal stability and consistent performance under the most demanding conditions. Combined with Galfer’s Pro brake pads, they provide the feel, power and modulation required by the world’s best riders in competition.

At Galfer Bike, we would like to congratulate all our athletes and teams on an exceptional season. Lisa Bouladou’s historic first Elite World Cup victory, Malik Boatwright’s remarkable consistency throughout the championship and Raoul Schneeberger’s international success perfectly represent the values of commitment, progression and performance that we share both on and off the race track.

One Elite victory, six Junior podiums and a World Champion. A season finale worthy of Galfer performance.
