The Swiss rider from Santa Cruz Burgtec by Goodman takes the rainbow stripes in Val di Sole (Italy) with Disc Shark® rotors and Pro G1554T pads, the combination Galfer has developed for the thermal demands of top-level Downhill.
A historic result for Raoul Schneeberger, who at 18 years old becomes UCI Downhill World Champion in the Junior category. The Swiss rider set the fastest time in his category with a spectacular run down the Black Snake in Val di Sole, one of the toughest tracks on the World Cup circuit and, without doubt, one of the most punishing for the braking system: sustained gradient with long, back-to-back braking zones that push the rotor-and-pad package to its thermal limit run after run.

Also worth highlighting is the well-earned 11th place of Galfer rider Luke Wayman (Continental-Atherton) in an extremely competitive Elite Men’s category. Wayman opted for the new Disc Shark® EVO rotors, the latest evolution of the range, together with Pro pads, on a dry weekend where heat management counts for even more than mud clearance.
Cross-Country
In XCO, Austrian rider Katrin Embacher secured eighth place in the Women’s Under-23 final, while her KTM Factory Team teammates Mathis Guay and Giada Specia finished 14th and 15th respectively.
